Data Analyst Job Duties

Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities, and design. Data analysts will develop analysis, reporting capabilities, and dashboards to support corporate decision making. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify necessary improvements.

Data Analyst Job Responsibilities:

Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Perform complex analysis to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in various datasets
Analyze problems and determines root causes
Work closely with all business units and teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture, and improve existing reporting systems
Conduct and facilitate (and educate and train on) analyses, issues identification, organizational risk assessment, and decision-making processes.
Provide consulting and analytic services to leadership

Data Analyst Qualifications / Skills:

Five+ years data analyst or related experience, including proficiency or equivalent related education
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Conducting big data analysis with demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications
Business process modeling—enterprise to department level
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision making, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, project management, quality management, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, results orientation, strategic thinking, and team building

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $63,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
