Job Title: Receptionist

Pay Range: $12-$14/hour

Part-Time with some flexibility: Roughly 20-30 hours/week.

**Reliable transportation is a must. Our receptionist travels to our Key West office on Thursdays.**

Hours: roughly 8:30am-5pm

You are the first person our patients interact with and you always speak in a welcoming tone. You make our patients feel like they have a friend in our office. You can get along with anyone and grumpy people don't ruffle your feathers - in fact, you know just what to say to calm them down and solve their problems!

About Us

We have over 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating patients from the Florida Keys, South Florida, and from many parts of the country. We use the latest conservative and surgical treatments for medical conditions and surgery of the foot, ankle and lower leg. Our service oriented practice focuses on the impact that foot health can have on overall health. Whether it is a new or pre-existing condition, our board-certified surgeons are committed to understanding pain, how it affects health, and treating our patients with care.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Each day you will have many moving parts to wrangle. You will be responsible for overseeing everything is accomplished with both quality and accuracy on your own tasks in the front office. Below is a snapshot of what you will be doing on a given day:

Greeting & registering patients
Answering multiple phone lines, taking messages
Scheduling appointments for two doctors in multiple locations
Verifying patient insurance
Patient billing and health insurance billing while double checking our third party billing agency for accuracy
Entering correct info into our EHR systems and following all HIPPA regulations
Scanning, faxing & copying
Assisting doctors and staff with other tasks and requests as they arise

30 Days

Total understanding of office shift schedules (We have 3 offices; it can be a little complicated at first)
Full understanding of our existing processes and procedures

60 Days

Identifying new ways to streamline front office processes

90 Days

Implement ideas to streamline front office procedures

You have earned the respect and trust of the staff and are fully integrated into the team

Your Background Includes

Customer service experience in person and over the phone
Scheduling appointments
Familiarity with medical billing a plus but not required
