Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. This position involves assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities

Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
Assist residents with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
Document and report any changes in residents' behavior or health status.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Drive residents to appointments or community activities as needed.
Support residents in managing personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
Foster an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and encouragement for all individuals.

Requirements

Previous experience in a group home, nursing home, retirement home, or similar setting is preferred.
Knowledge of direct support practices for individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
Experience in dementia care or home care is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
Ability to assist residents with meal preparation and other daily living tasks.
Valid driver's license is required for driving responsibilities.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
