Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies as needed.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink options.
- Operate the POS system efficiently, including processing payments and handling cash register transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders at the bar.
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure compliance with legal drinking age regulations and promote responsible drinking.
- Assist in training new staff members on bar procedures and drink preparation techniques.
Skills
- Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink costs.
- Experience with POS systems, specifically Aloha POS or similar platforms.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members in a restaurant or nightclub setting.
- Knowledge of the food industry and food service best practices.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
