Responsibilities and Duties
As the Dock Manager, you will supervise a team of dock hands and oversee day to day operation of the dock with an emphasis on managing processes to exceed performance goals and delivering exceptional customer service. This position will assist the Location Manager in maintaining accurate records, managing operating costs, and exceeding annual customer service goals. This position maintains, upkeeps and makes repairs to the company fleet with minimal supervision by the Location Manager.
This role will be a core member of the Dock team. This team will continue to grow the existing organization through regular recruiting, training and leadership. Success will be building and managing a team of professionals dedicated to working hard to exceed goals while having fun and delivering a high level of customer service in the daily operation of the business.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years successful experience with staff supervision preferred
- Customer service and communication skills required
- Boat, Boating or Marine experience a MUST
- USCG Captains License preferred
- Experience with mechanical problem solving, use of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Successful experience in marine environment preferred
- Associates degree or higher level of education preferred
Benefits
Like any recreation provider, our work schedule varies seasonally. We are open year around, six days a week, in all weather conditions including heat and rain. All employees will typically work 5 days per week with weekends and Holidays mandatory from late December to the end of April. Employees must be flexible and work with other team members to cover scheduled and unscheduled days off.
