SUMMARY: Under general supervision, plans, supervises, coordinates and controls the repair, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning (HVAC) for all DHR’s Florida service technicians and performs related duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (which are not in any hierarchical order)
Supervises the daily activities of the DHR’s refrigeration and air conditioning service staff.
Ensures technicians are completing their daily situation reports (sitreps) and sending them to the admin staff and coping management.
Reviews all sitreps to monitor technician’s repairs, part orders, and follow up.
Ensures all refrigerant reports are reported on the same day that refrigerant is added and that the customer sites are filled out correctly.
Checks in with dispatch first thing in the AM to go over tech assignments.
Reviews the service data sheet on a continuing basis to check the status of received calls.
Ensure the techs are updating and closing out their workorders through the customer sites.
Communicate with our customers via email if any concerns or issues are brought to our attention by our customers.
Communicates throughout the day with dispatch on service technicians’ assignment completion status.
Schedules, oversees or performs service/maintenance on a, upon demand and regular schedule.
Tracks customer equipment repair requirements and completion of same.
Tracks company equipment and parts inventory on all service vehicles.
Assigns, oversees and inspects service repair work.
Verifies major repairs prior to parts or equipment orders.
Coordinates the replacement of refrigeration or air conditioning equipment to minimize disruption of business and to meet user needs.
Preforms weekly service and safety meetings.
Performs weekly vehicle inspections for damage and cleanliness both inside and out.
Ensures all company assigned tools are on service trucks and are in operable condition.
Reviews service safety sheets and visually inspects service vehicles for cleanliness and proper safety equipment.
Continual recruitment and dismissal of service technicians in order to increase the service departments quality and productivity
Immediately respond via phone and follow up via email to all DHR service clients regarding work concerns both pro and con.
Continually work on expanding DHR service revenue through expansion with existing clients.
Communicate, coordinate, provide service support when needed and work in-tandem with Miami Construction Manager
Responds to reports of work place accidents/injuries and accompanies individual to medical care facility. Ensures drug testing is completed and all accident report paper work is completed correctly and in its entirety
Monitors phone and emails on a continual basis to stay current with technicians and assist same with diagnosis of equipment and the repairs of same during normal business hours, afterhours and weekends.

Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, statutes, regulations, rules, policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques.
Knowledge of personnel principles and practices.
Skill in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees.
Skill in scheduling and prioritizing manpower and projects.
Skill in reading and following blueprints and engineering drawings.
Skill in researching and gathering information related to vendors, contractors, equipment and supplies. Skill in negotiating and administering contracts.
Skill in resolving day-to-day questions and problems regarding equipment, materials, methods, and procedures needed to complete projects.
Skill in oral communication in one-on-one and group situations.
Skill in file and records management.
Ability to analyze information of considerable difficulty and drawing valid conclusions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City staff and the public.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $94,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
