Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, distribution center operations, and transportation management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
- Utilize transportation management systems to optimize shipping processes
- Source and negotiate with transportation providers to secure cost-effective shipping solutions
- Conduct root cause analysis to address logistics issues promptly
- Utilize AS400 and warehouse management systems for efficient operations
- Supervise and train warehouse staff on best practices
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Valid Drivers License
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Proven experience in logistics, preferably in a distribution center setting
- Familiarity with AS400, warehouse management systems, and forklift operation
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategies and inventory management
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis to resolve logistics challenges
