Job Summary:
As an Entry Level Marine Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and installation of marine engines and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about marine technology to develop their skills and grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of marine engines and systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on marine vessels.
- Install and test new marine equipment, systems and electronics..
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with outboard engines and systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
- Assist senior technicians with complex repairs and installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of marine engines and systems is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
- Forklift certified
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Yamaha certification
- Knowledge of LightSpeed a plus
- Experience with hand and power tools.
Basic understanding of electrical systems
