The Store Associate is responsible for assisting customers with their boating needs and purchases at the Oasis Marinas store. Reporting to the General Manager and working alongside other teammates, they will accomplish helping customers by answering questions and resolving issues and complaints. The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized environment. This role will support Oasis Marinas in maintaining a positive attitude and be a team player by assisting with other duties as assigned. A successful Store Associate will be high energy and action-oriented, a natural relationship builder, have a self-starter mentality, and have strong attention to detail.
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with their boating needs.
- Provide information and recommendations on products and services offered by the marina.
- Process customer purchases using the point-of-sale system and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure that products are available for purchase.
- Keep the store clean and organized, including regular dusting and cleaning of shelves, displays, and merchandise.
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading shipments and placing items on shelves and displays.
- Ensure that all products are properly priced and tagged.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of store events and promotions.
- Stay up to date on new products and services offered by the marina and be able to provide information to customers.
All other duties perform all other duties as assigned, including carrying out responsibilities, performing duties, using skills and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned tasks.
About You:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of boating a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Uses facts and experience to make cases and drive decisions.
- Integrity beyond reproach and the ethical soundness of a true leader
- Ability to influence others and implement change while formalizing processes.
