The Monroe County School District realizes the importance of a viable compensation package. Our total compensation packages are among the highest in the State of Florida. For educators, we currently take in all years of verified K-12 instructional experience. Employees are paid 24 paychecks a year and most educators work 10 months. There’s a week off at Thanksgiving, two weeks Winter Break and a week for Spring Break! For a full-time employee and their spouse working full-time at Monroe County School District, family health coverage is free.
