Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hard-working Bait Packer to assist in the preparation, sorting, and vacuum-sealing of freshly caught ballyhoo. This is a hands-on position working directly with fresh product and commercial-grade equipment in a fast-paced, cold-storage environment.

Responsibilities

Sort ballyhoo by size (Small, Medium, Large, Horse) with attention to quality standards
Prepare and vacuum-seal bait in appropriate packaging (3–15 pieces per pack depending on size)
Label and organize packaged bait into freezer storage
Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace
Assist with loading/unloading of ice, bait, and supplies as needed
Follow all food safety, handling, and company protocols

Qualifications

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in cold temperatures and with fresh fish
Previous fishing, seafood, warehouse, or food handling experience is a plus
Must be punctual, dependable, and work well with a small team
Ability to work early mornings or late nights depending on catch schedule
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus but not required
