Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of retail operations. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their purchases, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing. Your role will involve engaging with customers, promoting products, and contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing returns.
Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
Maintain store presentation through effective merchandising and stocking of products.
Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable items.
Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Experience in retail sales, with knowledge of retail math for inventory management.
Proficiency in cashiering and cash handling procedures.
Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
Ability to perform merchandising tasks, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
Experience with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels.
Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
