Midway Specialty Care Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant / Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face and caring support behind every patient experience. This dual-role position combines front-desk reception duties with hands-on clinical assistance, making it ideal for someone who loves working with people and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Administrative Tasks:

Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude

Verify insurance and patient demographics in eCW (EclinicalWorks)

Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage daily schedules

Handle medical record updates and front desk organization

Clinical & Patient Care Duties:

Assist physicians and nurses with exams and in-office procedures

Take and record vital signs, update patient records, and prepare exam rooms

Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment according to infection control standards

Support patient education and comfort during visits

Use proper sterilization techniques for medical instruments

What You’ll Need

Completion of a Medical Assistant or Nurse Aide program (Required)

Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred

Completion of venipuncture class and current BCLS certification

Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (eCW a plus)

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Team-oriented attitude and a commitment to patient-centered care

Bilingual skills a plus

$22.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications
