As we continue our rapid growth, we’re seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our leadership team and oversee all legal, regulatory, and compliance functions across our expanding organization.

Position Overview

The General Counsel will serve as the Chief Legal Officer, reporting directly to executive leadership. This individual will provide strategic legal guidance, manage compliance initiatives, and ensure the company operates in full adherence with applicable laws and regulations.

We’re looking for a pragmatic, business-minded legal leader with strong experience in corporate, regulatory, and commercial law, particularly within consumer financial services, data privacy, advertising, and vendor contracting.

Key Responsibilities

Advise executives and management on a broad range of legal issues, including corporate governance, contracts, marketing, and regulatory compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate all company agreements, including vendor, partner, and client contracts (lead generation, licensing, SaaS, service, MSA/SOW).
Ensure compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws, including TCPA, FCRA, GLBA, FTC/CFPB regulations, and relevant state licensing frameworks.
Support corporate transactions, such as financings, restructurings, and strategic partnerships.
Develop, implement, and enhance compliance programs, policies, and risk management frameworks.
Manage relationships with outside counsel and serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies.
Provide training and practical legal guidance to internal teams on risk mitigation and compliance best practices.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Florida or Nevada preferred).
5+ years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel roles.
Expertise in financial services, fintech, marketing/advertising law, or data privacy.
Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proven ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a practical, solutions-oriented way.
Experience managing compliance programs or working with regulators is a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
