Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to support our warehouse operations. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient warehouse management and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will assist in overseeing daily operations, managing inventory, and ensuring that all processes align with company goals.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
Supervise warehouse staff and coordinate training programs to enhance team performance.
Implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce costs within the warehouse.
Utilize transportation management systems to streamline logistics and transportation planning.
Oversee freight operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Manage the warehouse management system (WMS) for accurate tracking of inventory and shipments.
Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers for effective distribution solutions.

Experience

Proven experience in warehouse management or as a Warehouse Supervisor is essential.
Strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and operations management.
Familiarity with lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and budgeting processes.
Experience with ERP systems and AS400 is preferred for efficient data handling.
Knowledge of freight operations, shipping & receiving processes, and materials management is advantageous.
Proficiency in inventory management techniques and tools, including inventory control systems.

Pay: $22.53 - $27.13 per hour
