Overview
We're a welcoming, alcohol-free kava bar (think cozy lounge meets social chill spot) where people come to unwind, connect, and enjoy the relaxing effects of traditional kava – a Pacific Island root drink that's all about good vibes, no hangover! Our space is all about community, positive energy, and sharing the "Bula!" spirit (Fijian for hello & cheers!). If you love hospitality, plants/botanical beverages, and creating memorable experiences without the booze, this is your spot.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality kava drinks (traditional bowls, flavored mixes, mocktails, and more) following recipes and safety standards
Greet guests with a warm, outgoing energy – explain kava benefits, effects, and history to newcomers (education is a big part of the fun!)
Take orders, handle POS/cash transactions, and provide top-notch customer service
Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized.
Build community – chat with regulars, make everyone feel welcome, and keep the lounge vibe relaxed and positive Handle opening/closing duties, inventory, and light side work

Who We're Looking For:

Outgoing, friendly, and extroverted – you love talking to people and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Previous experience as a bartender, barista, server, or in hospitality/customer service (kava experience is a HUGE plus, but we'll train the right person!)
Passionate about wellness, plant-based drinks, or sober-curious lifestyles
Reliable, team player with great communication and basic math/cash-handling skills
21+ preferred (for responsible service guidelines)
Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, fun environment
