Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Expeditor (Expo) to join our dynamic team in a elevated restaurant environment. The Food Expeditor (Expo) is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and visually appealing delivery of all dishes from the kitchen to guests. This role serves as the critical communication link between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, maintaining quality standards and coordinating service during high-volume periods.and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Duties

Act as the liaison between kitchen staff and service team
Clearly communicate modifications, allergies, and special requests
Call tickets and coordinate pacing during peak service hours
Assist in resolving service delays or errors quickly
Maintain a smooth, organized expo line at all times
Prioritize orders based on timing and table needs
Support servers and runners to ensure fast, accurate delivery
Step in to run food when needed

Qualifications

1–3 years restaurant experience preferred (expo, line cook, or server)
Experience in high-volume or upscale casual dining strongly preferred

Skills

Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Solid understanding of food presentation and timing

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods and move quickly
Ability to lift trays and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience in high-volume or upscale casual dining strongly preferred
