Release of Information Specialist
Fully Remote in Florida | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
$15.25–$18.00/hr

Sapphire Recruitment is hiring a Release of Information Specialist for a fully remote opportunity for a Florida state resident. This position is ideal for someone with medical records, ROI, Epic, and healthcare documentation experience who is highly accurate, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

The Release of Information Specialist will help process medical record requests, enter data into ROI software, review documentation, and ensure records are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

Process medical record release requests in a timely and accurate manner
Enter and manage request information using ROI software
Use Epic and other healthcare systems to review and process documentation
Read and interpret medical records, forms, and authorizations
Organize records and documents to complete the ROI process
Help resolve HIPAA-related release issues
Follow established procedures to maintain confidentiality and compliance
Provide professional customer service by phone, email, or other communication channels
Attend required training and support department needs as assigned

Qualifications

3–5+ years of Release of Information experience preferred
Epic experience required
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
At least 2 years of medical records experience
At least 2 years of clerical or office experience
Healthcare setting experience preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to Protected Health Information preferred
RHIT certification preferred
Proficiency with computers, scanners, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Pay: $15.25–$18.00/hr
