Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, determined, and enthusiastic Marina Store Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. As a Store Clerk, the duties and responsibilities shall include, but are not limited, to the following:

Duties

Maintain the appearance and safety of the store. (cleanness, price on items, etc)
Full knowledge of POS System to perform customer sales transactions.
Always maintain a positive attitude with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Properly check in all vendors’ deliveries to ensure accuracy of received merchandise, if received when on duty.
Perform inventory of received items.
Perform daily inventory readings to ensure they match the computer. If they do not match inform the supervisor.
Maintain register and cash drawer. Perform daily register sales reports upon completion of shift submitting to the management office.
Ordering and maintaining store inventory, rotation of self-items, removing expired items from shelves or stock.
Make sure the cash drawer is ready for the next day.
Communication with the office on a regular basis for needed store supplies (office supplies) such as, copy paper, ribbon, register tape, printer ink, labels, etc.
Occasional lifting of heavy materials/merchandise and handling of live shrimp is required.
Assistance at the gas pumps and assisting docking boats at the fuel tanks may be necessary on occasion.
Replacement of gas lines and boat tie ropes throughout shift to maintain cleanliness and eliminate any liability on boat dock.
Full understanding of Marina Store products and layout to provide best service.

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills is beneficial.
Experience in stock management or merchandising is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse customers.
A collaborative attitude towards teamwork and willingness to learn new skills.
Bilingual is preferred but not mandatory.
