Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at Island Grill. The ideal candidate will have experience in high volume environments and possess a strong understanding of bartending techniques. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to food safety and handling regulations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, take drink orders, and offer recommendations.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, restocking as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service standards.
- Utilize Toast POS system for order processing and payment transactions.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience in high volume settings is preferred.
- Basic math skills for managing cash register operations and drink pricing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
