Overview:
We are seeking experienced and reliable Truck Drivers to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that products are delivered safely and on time.
Duties:
- Load and unload cargo from trucks
- Operate refrigerated trailers to transport temperature-sensitive goods
- Transport freight to designated locations
- Drive trucks with manual transmissions
- Operate forklifts to load and unload heavy items
- Perform delivery driver duties, including verifying orders and obtaining signatures
- Utilize heavy equipment for specific job requirements
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Commercial driving experience
- Proficiency in loading and unloading cargo
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers
- Ability to drive trucks with manual transmissions
- Experience operating forklifts for heavy lifting
- Knowledge of delivery driver responsibilities and procedures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment as required
- Must have good communication skill.
- English speaker a must.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience
REQUIRED: Drivers License with good driving record.
1 to 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in food deliveries
Ability to perform repeated tasks with attention to detail.
Willing to perform all tasks when and where assigned and as changing situations arise.
Possess great communication skills
Dependable, honest and trustworthy
Maintain professional, positive attitude and good work ethics.
Warehouse/Pallet Jack/Forklift certification and/or experience a plus
Physical Requirements
Driving straight/box truck, sitting, Standing & walking for long periods of time, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 70lbs, continuous fine hand manipulation including grasping, reaching, holding, carrying, etc., must be able to bend, stretch, reach overhead, stoop and climb. Must be able to work in varying temperatures per department & outdoors between 32 F to 80F +'
