Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and packages efficiently and safely to various locations. Duties
- Operate delivery vehicles, including cars vans and box trucks, for transporting goods.
- Execute route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries to designated locations.
- Load and unload items
- Perform heavy lifting of packages and materials as required.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or delivery driving preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying hours as needed based on delivery schedules.
