Overview
We are hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance worker who can also double as a dock hand to provide support and coverage to our operations manager. This position is to assist the operations manager in various duties and help with ensuring a positive experience for boaters, staff and guests. Must enjoy working outdoors.
Duties
Daily/Weekly Responsibilities
- Prepare or assist in preparing vacant apartments to a market ready-condition
- Respond to resident service requests (light bulb changes, minor HVAC, caulking, appliance repairs, filter changes, etc.)
- Perform on-call emergency service as required
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor on special maintenance projects as needed
- Assist with keeping grounds and common areas free of trash and debris
- Assist with the docking and undocking of boats, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Monitor water levels and weather conditions to ensure safe dockage.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting boaters, answering questions, and offering assistance as needed to Dockmaster and guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the grounds and storage areas.
- Perform routine maintenance on docks and facilities, including cleaning and repairs.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and report any issues to the Dockmaster.
- Open and close the boat ramp as needed
- Perform pump-outs of black water weekly.
- Accept phone calls and walk ins for new reservations.
- Work in software to create new reservations.
- Assist the Dockmaster in all areas they may need help in.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in a resort marine environment.
- Basic knowledge of rope ties and knots.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
