Duties
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold health standards.
- Assist servers by bussing tables promptly—clearing empty dishes, resetting tables with clean linens and utensils to prepare for new guests.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling ingredients or plating dishes under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area by sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and organizing service stations.
- Help with catering events or banquet setups by setting up tables, serving stations, and clearing after events.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations during busy service hours.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to create a safe environment for staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic understanding of food service operations, including bussing, cleaning, and light food prep tasks.
- Experience with banquet or catering events is advantageous but not mandatory.
