Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive oral health and education. This role requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable working with patients of all ages, including children, and is committed to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients of all ages.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify potential issues.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure infection control during all procedures.
- Assist in the administration of local anesthesia as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
- Comfortable seeing 6-8 patients per day.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with patient assessment and medical imaging processes.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office environment while maintaining attention to detail.
