Florida Keys Electric, Inc. is a Premier Electrical Contractor providing all aspects of electrical, low voltage, and fire alarm services throughout Key West and the Florida Keys.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Feed, pull and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, etc.
- Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures, etc.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduits.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
- Experience in residential, industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
- Ability to run conduit.
- Communications skills, ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals, designers, and clients.
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to interpret, read and understand drawings, scope of work and project schedules.
- Must have valid drivers license.
- Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a government background clearance.
Position includes all necessary training, paid vacation, paid holidays, 401k, health insurance, uniform shirts/hats and company vehicle.
