Looking for a detail-oriented, independent learner to develop and maintain accounting processes for vacation rental management company in the Florida Keys. Experience in Vacation Rentals, trust accounting, Air B N B, VRBO and other 3rd party vacation channels advanced deposit and payout reconciliations, monthly tax reporting and monthly owner disbursements a must.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Accounts Payable: Process and manage accounts payable, ensuring correct entry of vendor invoices and payment
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances, to make sure reservations are paid on time
- Prepare and distribute customer statements and follow up on outstanding payments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
- Assist with month-end closing activities,
- Process adjusting entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures
Experience:
- Vacation rental accounting highly desirable.
- Liverez Vacation Rental software experience desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience as a vacation rental bookkeeper or Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist or in a similar role
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client/team interaction
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Thorough knowledge of accounting functions
- Ability to assist multiple co-workers on projects while maintaining organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Maintains a professional appearance
