Job Summary
The HR Specialist is responsible for payroll processing, pre-employment and post-employment activities, Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, new hire onboarding, and preparing and processing personnel data and records for the Key West Transportainment, Attractions, and Retail Operations. They ensure accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial reports, file maintenance, and participate in the daily data entry for hires, separations, and general payroll information in a very busy office environment. This position requires a good sense of responsibility and promotes a harmonious workplace.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in clerical, payroll, human resources office or business administration preferred
- Clear driving record for the last 3 years
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, emails, managing files and records and other office procedures and terminology
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to read, write, and speak clear English to communicate with co-workers and the general public
- Professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions
- Successful candidate must undergo a drug test and a background search
