This position is responsible for assisting members with their immediate needs via telephone, email, and in person. This may include; but not limited to, giving information on the facility, products, and services, assisting with reservations, and collecting payments. This position is the first contact for members and customers in the marine store and is responsible for assisting customers at point-of-sale, and organizing and receiving inventory. The position also works closely with the Dockmaster assisting with reservations, and insurance compliance tasks; as well as assisting the General Manager with inventory management, accounts payable tasks, and miscellaneous office tasks. Additionally, the position is responsible for managing the boatyard schedule including assisting customers with scheduling, ensuring paperwork is complete, and billing.
This office environment is fast-paced, requiring candidates to effectively multi-task and maintain focus despite frequent interruptions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining effective and friendly working relationships with staff, members, guests and dealing with conflict effectively, courteously, and tactfully
- Responding to member questions and needs via phone, email and in person

- Accepting and reconciling daily cash, credit and check payments, and following up with past due balances
- Routine administrative tasks including office leasing
- Provide information on marina products and services
- Available to work overtime when required

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

- Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area
- Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Technical and Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior marina experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Extensive computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 10 pounds
