Duties:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel.
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas.
- Provide menus to guests and inform them of any specials or promotions.
- Manage waitlist and reservations, ensuring accurate seating arrangements.
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station.
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with taking to-go orders and processing payments. This is a tipped position.

Experience:

- Previous experience using Toast POS or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel operations and guest services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
