Overview:
KAIR is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Food Pantry Manager. This role will oversee all aspects of our pantry operations, including stocking shelves, managing volunteers, distributing food, completing intake applications, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role requires a compassionate individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
· Stock shelves and move boxes of food as needed.
· Clean pantry, including freezers, refrigerators, and floors, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
· Distribute food to clients based on family size, transportation, and available resources.
· Complete intake applications and interview clients to determine additional needs, provide assistance such as gas vouchers or referrals.
· Assist with Department of Children and Families applications and other necessary referrals.
· Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support pantry operations.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including daily temperature checks and logs, and annual certifications.
· Input all client information and food donations into Feeding South Florida software programs.
Requirements:
· Prefer Middle Keys resident.
· Ability to lift and move boxes.
· Proficiency in using a computer for data entry and communication.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage groups of people independently.
