Field (water and soil) sampling position available with Benchmark Analytical Laboratory, an environmental company providing sampling and analysis services since 1992. Laboratory operations are owner-operated and NELAP certified. Client projects include sampling and analysis of surface water, storm water, ground water and sediment & soil. Available position is with Benchmark EnviroAnalytical South Laboratory located in North Port, Florida. Primary job junction is sampling of surface water, ground water, sediment and soil. Field sampling experience is helpful but not required. An excellent driving record is required. Pay range is depending on experience and technical qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The field sampling position's primary responsibility is providing excellent sampling service to clientele including:
* point of contact for field services operating from the North Port, FL laboratory.
* operate according to Florida FDEP Field Sampling SOPs F.A.C. 62-160.
* must maintain and follow a monthly schedule of clientele sampling events with dates and times.
* construction of field sampling reporting forms
* collection of sampling costs from clients who do not have accounts with Benchmark.
SUMMARY:
Required training and skills include:
* B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Biology or Chemistry.
* Knowledge of environmental laboratory operations and field sampling protocols. Experience very helpful.
* A Florida Drivers License in good standing is required.
* Position reports to the Palmetto laboratory Director.
