Wesley House Family Services is a nationally accredited not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and nurturing children and strengthening families with services spanning Monroe County, Florida. Social services provided by WHFS include: Full case management, Intensive preservation services, Enhanced-in-home services, Intensive family reunification services, Prevention & intervention services, Foster care & adoption services, Health families Monroe and Inez martin child development center.
The Child and Family Therapist will be doing-
- Engage families in developing and implementing strength-based child safety and service plans
- Provide timely and ongoing in-home services to assigned families
- Assist with Full Case Management functions, including documentation, coordination of services, court‑related tasks, and collaboration with child welfare professionals, as assigned.
- Obtain and maintain Child Welfare Case Manager (CWCM) certification and comply with all requirements related to CWCM duties.
- Participate in on-call rotation requirements accepting referrals 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the Citrus Intake process.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and reports
- Participate in supervision, trainings, and staff meetings
- Implement evidence-based models including Nurturing Parenting, Safe & Together, PQI, and QPI
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders
- Adhere to agency policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Produce high‑quality, accurate, and timely documentation, reports, and records in compliance with contractual, regulatory, and agency requirements.
- Actively engage in professional development, including supervision, training, meetings, and required certifications.
- Demonstrate cultural humility, flexibility, and professionalism
- Adhere to all Wesley House policies and procedures, ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrate cultural humility and sensitivity, respecting the culture, traditions, languages, and practices of the families served.

- Support agency‑sponsored events and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned
The successful Child and Family Therapist candidate will have-
- Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field or bachelor's degree with three years or more experience required.
- Experience in social services
- Independent decision making and flexible scheduling
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to drive long distance. Key West to Key Largo weekly.
