Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry and construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both hand and power tools. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety on the job site, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Responsibilities
- Perform trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
- Engage in concrete forming, plastering, and rebar installation as needed
- Assist in fabrication, fixture installation, and cabinet installation
- Participate in roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and door hanging activities
- Conduct water damage restoration and mold remediation tasks when required
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects while maintaining a clean work environment
- Execute maintenance person duties including plumbing, electrical work, masonry, caulking, and construction painting
- Lift heavy materials safely as part of daily responsibilities
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques
- Proficiency in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, and metal stud framing
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Previous experience on construction sites is preferred
