The Laundry Attendant ensures Banana Bay has clean, well-finished linens and terry every day. You’ll sort, wash, dry, finish, and stage items to brand standards; operate commercial equipment safely; and help maintain accurate linen inventories for guest rooms and hotel outlets.
Sorting & Preparation: Receive, count, and sort soiled linen/terry by type and soil level; pre-treat stains and separate damaged items.
Washing & Drying: Load/unload commercial washers and dryers; select proper formulas, temperatures, and chemical levels; avoid over/under loading.
Finishing: Fold, press, and/or run items through flatwork ironer and folders; stack and label by size and type; ensure crisp presentation.
Distribution & Pars: Stage clean linens/terry for room attendants and closets; deliver carts as needed; maintain par levels and rotate stock (FIFO).
Quality Control: Inspect output for stains, tears, and defects; rewash or retire items per SOP; minimize rejects and rework.
Equipment Care: Clean lint traps, detergent lines, and work areas; report malfunctions immediately; assist with simple preventive tasks.
Safety & Compliance: Use chemicals and equipment safely; follow PPE, OSHA, and SDS guidelines; maintain clear aisles and spill controls.
Records & Communication: Track loads and counts; complete daily production sheets; communicate shortages, outages, and maintenance needs.
Team Support: Assist with linen pick-up from floors, inventory counts, and special projects; help in Housekeeping when needed.
