Ghost City Tours is hiring Tour Guides to lead engaging, high-energy walking tours sharing local history,
ghost stories, and legends.
Job Overview
As a Tour Guide / Ghost Tour Guide, you will:
● Lead guided walking tours through historic areas
● Deliver engaging storytelling performances to groups
● Entertain guests with history, true crime, and ghost stories
● Provide excellent customer service while managing groups
Key Details
● Tours are ~90 minutes (up to 2 hours for specialty tours)
● Walking distance: ~1 mile per tour
● Must be comfortable walking, standing, and speaking for extended periods
● Tours run year-round (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Pay & Compensation
Training Pay:
● State minimum wage of $14 per hour for 8 2-hr training sessions
After Training:
● $50 base pay per tour + 100% tips
● Typical total earnings: $50–$150+ per tour
● Top performers can earn significantly more with tips
● Weekly direct deposit (Fridays)

Minimum Requirements
● Strong public speaking or presentation skills
● Outgoing, confident, and comfortable with groups
● Reliable transportation
● Punctual and dependable
● Must live within 20 miles of the tour location
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
● Tour guide experience
● Acting, theater, improv, or performance background
● Customer service or hospitality experience
● Teaching, history, or storytelling experience
