The Construction Estimator will be responsible for accurately calculating project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and providing effective recommendations for cabinet and countertop projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of cabinet and countertop construction methods, material costs, and industry standards, with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review plans, specifications, and other relevant construction documentation of projects to develop comprehensive and accurate estimates.
- Perform quantity take-offs and analyze material and labor costs.
- Work closely with sales reps, architects, suppliers, and general contractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Collaborate with sales reps to gather pricing information and identify the most cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and submit detailed written and electronic estimates, including a breakdown as required.
- Assist with bid preparation and submission.
- Support contract negotiations and change order management to ensure cost alignment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of [3] years of experience in the construction industry, preferred with a strong background in residential areas.
- Education: A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Buildertrend, CostX, PlanSwift or similar tools). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Use of Design Software: Proficiency with drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 2020 Design or similar software) to create accurate, detailed, and scalable preliminary designs to support kitchen and bath estimates.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction processes, material pricing, labor rates, and cost control methods.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage large volumes of detailed data and maintain accuracy in all estimates.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing clear and concise reports, proposals, and estimates.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.
- Certifications (Optional): Professional Estimator Certification (e.g., AACE, ASPE) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience with bid management and procurement processes.
Requirements:
- Must pass a background screen.
