Join our dynamic team as a Diesel/Truck Automotive Electrician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel engines and commercial vehicle electrical systems. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electrical components on trucks and diesel-powered equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems on diesel trucks, including lighting, wiring, sensors, and control modules using detailed schematics and automotive diagnostics tools
- Perform maintenance on powertrain components such as transmissions, engines, and drive systems to ensure reliable operation
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service tools to complete repairs efficiently
- Conduct vehicle inspections, alignments, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to meet safety standards
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical issues accurately
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and ensure all repairs meet dealership or company standards
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as wheel alignments, brake repairs, and diesel engine repairs to optimize vehicle performance
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
- Strong mechanical knowledge of powertrain systems, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and diagnostic software
- Experience working with schematics for electrical troubleshooting and system repairs
- Familiarity with ADAS technology calibration and vehicle alignment procedures
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance machinery safely
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Prior experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training in automotive repair is preferred
