Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlist procedures efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Assist guests with seating arrangements, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or services
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table assignments and guest needs
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring an exceptional experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring it is welcoming at all times
Experience
- Minimum of one year of host/hostess experience in food service or restaurant settings
- Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and guest relations in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills in both English and another language (bilingual proficiency) required
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and guest services standards
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and handling guest inquiries professionally
