The Recreation Manager will present timely activities and programs including adjustments due to weather and seasonal fluctuations; design programs that attract targeted guest population; efficiency in using hotel’s resources to publicize program information; produce effective communications that are appropriate for the audience; effectively handle guests and clients by phone. Organize quality programs targeted to meet the needs and limits of a variety of guests; assist in the evaluation of events against both participant expectations and financial objectives; respond promptly and professionally to guest comments regarding programs.
- Constantly. Maintain work areas clean and organized.
- Frequently. Communicate with staff on the special events, programs and other items of interest.
- Frequently. Coordinate, organize and carry out planned programs.
- Frequently. Keep inventories, equipment and supplies current.
- Occasionally. Design and coordinate recreational programs targeted to meet the needs of guests as outlined in the hotel’s Business Plan.
- Occasionally. Develop promotional materials for offered programs.
- Occasionally. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members and public.
- Familiar with local area and attractions.
- Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and personable.
