Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading household belongings safely and efficiently
- Use heavy equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and clamp trucks to move items securely
- Help organize items in the truck or storage area to maximize space and prevent damage
- Support team members with heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure proper handling of fragile or valuable items during transit
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace during the move process
- Follow all safety guidelines including OSHA standards to prevent injuries
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the day
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or order pickers is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other warehouse tools preferred
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and materials handling procedures
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards customer service and safety compliance
