Osherow, PLLC is a boutique law firm located in Boca Raton, Florida that was founded by the firm’s founder and managing partner, Mark Osherow in 2017. Mr. Osherow has been practicing law for over 36 years and is Florida Bar Board Certified Business Litigation Lawyer since 2006.
Although the firm is located in South Florida, we represent clients throughout Florida in both state and federal courts. The firm’s employees and staff work remotely.
The firm’s practice encompasses a wide range of business and commercial litigation matters in a variety of areas, including trade secret and non-compete litigation, real estate, construction, fraud, business torts, securities, labor and employment, professional liability, and corporate, partnership and bankruptcy-related disputes. We are also well-versed in probate litigation and other matters related to estate planning and trusts.
The firm is growing at a rapid pace. As a result, we are looking for a contractual or part-time attorney to join our legal team to assist with various writing assignments, including, without limitations, legal research, drafting legal documents, including, but without limitation, pleadings, motions, responses to motions, discovery and discovery responses and attending hearings and depositions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience practicing law and possess a strong foundation in legal research, litigation, and legal drafting that will deliver comprehensive legal solutions for and on behalf of our clients And will be able to work at a minimum of 10 hours a week. As an integral part of our team, you will advocate for clients, navigate complex legal issues and ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct thorough legal research utilizing LexisNexis to support case development and legal analysis.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions and discovery.
- Provide guidance on various business and commercial litigation matters in a variety of areas, including trade secret and non-compete litigation, real estate, construction, fraud, business torts, securities, labor and employment, professional liability, and corporate, partnership and bankruptcy-related disputes.
- Represent clients in state and federal court sand depositions to advocate effectively for the client’s interests.
- Assist in managing case files.
- Stay informed about local, state and federal rules and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategic approaches.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in practicing business and commercial litigation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive legal research.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal arguments
- Experience in drafting legal documents.
- Managing case files and supporting attorneys within a busy law firm.
- Familiarity with negotiation strategies and client advocacy in various legal contexts.
Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
