Marco Island Charter Middle School (MICMS) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics instruction that supports student growth, critical thinking, and academic achievement in middle school mathematics.
The teacher will foster a structured, positive classroom culture while preparing students for advanced mathematical concepts, state assessments, and future academic success.
Essential Responsibilities
● Plan and deliver daily math instruction aligned to Florida state standards.
● Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including ESE and ESOL students.
● Use assessment data to drive instructional decisions and monitor student progress.
● Maintain accurate grades, attendance records, and student documentation.
● Create and maintain a positive, safe, and well-managed classroom environment.
● Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and concerns.
● Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional staff.
● Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
● Support student achievement on FAST and other state assessments.
● Maintain compliance with all school policies, procedures, and professional expectations.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
● Valid Florida teaching certification.
● Subject-specific certification to teach Mathematics in grades 5–9 or 6–12 is required.
● Middle school teaching experience preferred.
● Strong classroom management and communication skills.
● Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
● ESOL endorsement or certification.
● Experience with accelerated mathematics courses or intensive math intervention.
● Knowledge of standards-based grading and curriculum planning.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,813.42 per year
