The Mermaids Cauldron is a whimsical coastal boutique in the heart of Old Town Key West featuring boutique clothing, swimwear, jewelry, apothecary products, gifts, and handcrafted items from local artists and small businesses.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people, loves helping customers find something special, and isn’t afraid to chat, laugh, and make someone’s vacation (or local shopping trip) even better.
This is more than folding clothes and running a register—we want every person who walks through our door to feel welcome.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome every guest with a friendly smile
- Help customers style outfits and find gifts they’ll love
- Learn about our products so you can confidently make recommendations
- Operate the Square POS system
- Keep the boutique clean, organized, and beautifully merchandised
- Restock merchandise throughout the day
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Occasionally help create fun social media content or take product photos
- Treat the shop like it’s your own
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
- Loves talking with people
- Has a positive, upbeat personality
- Is dependable and punctual
- Enjoys working independently
- Has an eye for fashion, gifts, or merchandising
- Is comfortable standing and moving throughout a shift
- Can lift up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Weekend and holiday availability is preferred
- Retail experience is great, but personality and willingness to learn matter even more.

HoursApproximately 15-20 hours per week (depending on season).
Pay$17-20/hour, based on experience.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
