Job Summary
The Retail Food Clerk Supervisor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in opening and closing the store.
- Maintain communication with Manager and Assistant Manager on all issues.
- Assist the manager with the day-to-day operations, this includes, but is not limited to, follow established procedures for opening and closing the store, and ensuring that the store is properly staffed. Supervise sales staff to achieve goals; motivate assigned staff; assignment of duties; and review progress with the manager as needed.
- Train and monitor workers in food preparation, serving techniques, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
- Assist in food preparation, serving, and sanitizing work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes.
- Assist in supervising sales staff to achieve goals.
- Greet customers with a smile and make them feel welcome; offer to assist them.
- Be knowledgeable of our products and pricing
- Use sales techniques to drive sales to meet daily goals
- Be exact or highly accurate when handling cash, checks and credit cards
- Verify and balance cash drawer.
- Accurately produce reports and other departmental documents as assigned. .
- Receive and refrigerate merchandise correctly. Stock/back stock merchandise using store procedures and standards to prevent spoilage.
- Keep the store (floors, fixtures) and the merchandise clean and organized.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High degrees of self-motivation, ability to work independently within established rules.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and serving techniques, the proper method of sanitation, use of equipment, and safety procedure.
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Ability to work with money, credit cards and cash receipts.
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Successful candidate will pass a drug test and a background search.
