Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, and help to ensure patients receive quality care. We are a private practice that has been under the same ownership for 16 years. There is no pressure to sell any products or procedures. Patients are treated as family.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental work
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate patient records
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Understanding of Dental terminology
- Proficiency in assisting with dental procedures
- Ability to maintain aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with dental coding
- Experience with Eaglesoft dental software a plus
- X-Ray certification
