CJ Law Firm, PA is seeking a litigation associate attorney to join our firm.
We are a fast-paced, boutique Plaintiff's firm handling First-Party Property Insurance from pre-litigation to litigation. Duties/Responsibilities:
Court Hearings: Attend court hearings to represent clients and present legal arguments. Maintain consistent communication and provide updates to clients, ensuring they are informed and engaged.
Drafting Pleadings: Prepare legal documents, including complaints, responses to motions to dismiss (MTD), and motions for summary judgment (MSJ).
Depositions: Prepare and conduct depositions of Corporate Representative (CR), Field Adjuster (FA), Engineers, and experts. As well as attend and prepare for depositions of the Insured(s) and third-parties.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments. Review, evaluate, and prepare cases for trial.
Discovery: Prepare and respond to discovery requests and address any associated issues.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on first party property insurance law.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
