Job Overview
We are a bridge repair and rehabilitation Construction Company and are seeking a detail-oriented Coating Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coating materials, surface preparation, application, inspection, and documentation. We work on bridges throughout the state of Florida, and the ideal candidate will have experience on bridge painting, or other forms of steel painting experience. CIP LEVEL I or NACE certification is required for this position.
Duties
- Conduct inspections of coating material deliveries, surface preparation, and paint application.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments
- Analyze inspection results and document findings in accordance with quality management protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain records of inspections, tests, and other quality-related documentation as per AMPP and company guidelines.
- Participate in internal and external audits with AMPP for QP 1, QP 2, and QP 6 certifications.
- Continuously improve inspection processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in a quality control or inspection role within a construction environment. Bridge experience highly desired.
- CIP LEVLE I or NACE certification is REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and standards.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments .
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on inspection results.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
