Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about store merchandise, and upselling items to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Maintain proper cash drawer handling procedures and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring accurate inventory levels
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers or coordinating with team members
- Conduct product knowledge sharing and promote store promotions to boost sales performance
- Assist in grocery or specialty store operations as needed, including stocking perishable goods and managing retail math tasks
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts is essential
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies will set you apart
- Knowledge of phone etiquette best practices ensures professional interactions at all times
