Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team and oversee the construction process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Position: Construction Foreman/Environmental Technician
Summary: Performs variety of construction and technical tasks associated with phases of environmental site
investigation and remediation under the direction of the project manager by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leads coordination of and performs physical duties associated with excavations, remediation system
installations, remediation system modifications, and site restoration.
Duties include heavy equipment operation, power tools operation, hand tools utilization, and heavy to
moderate lifting.
Physical work day is performed outdoors in weather that may consist of extended periods in above and/or
below average temperatures. Work is sometimes performed in inclement weather such as heavy rain.
Physical demands include extended periods of standing, walking, stooping and/or kneeling.
Operation and maintenance of remedial treatment systems
May assist in geological site investigations including groundwater, soil, sediment and surface water
sampling under the direction of the project manager
Field oversight of drilling subcontractors including oversight of well installation, soil/groundwater
sampling and testing
Coordinates sample packing and shipping to laboratory subcontractor
Some project require overnight travel
Required Skills:
Ensures compliance with company, government, OSHA, and other job-specific regulations
Interface with client and project management
Good oral and written skills
Team player
Education:
40-hour HAZWOPER training
Experience:
Heavy Equipment Operation
Knowledge of field procedures and equipment
Experience working for an environmental/engineering consultant preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting, squatting, stooping, bending while performing field investigation
Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds)
40 to 50 hours a week
Day and night work
Working outside in various weather conditions, uneven terrain
Physical exam to obtain medical clearance
Must pass a drug screen and MVR check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
